CONUNDRUM

I'm in a bit of bother with a truth that's taught in schools

It's not a pearl of wisdom and it doesn't fit the rules

If FORTUNA FAVET FATUIS and also FORTIBUS

Logic forces the conclusion

That with both ideas in fusion

Attaining erudition is not to be prized as jewels

To succeed in any venture, we'd be wise to suffer fools!
